La Caravana del Diseño

Hello everyone!

I came to my country to spend the holidays and to celebrate my marriage =) I arrived on the 12 of November and I promised to myself, thinking that I would have some free time, to make much more blog entries. Then I realized that I haven’t relaxed at all since I got here, preparing the wedding and preparing Ani’s Oreficeria for a famous designers fair next weekend.

Today I write about that fair. “La Caravana del diseño” The Caravan of design, it’s a fair that started 4 years ago putting together some new designers and presenting to the city new creations and beautiful presents for Christmas (they always do it this time of the year). Since the first year, I participated as a designer, and I and i loved the enviroment and the creativity of the participants. Since then I always look forward to this period, to participate and see all the new designers and creations. I only missed last year because I spent the holidays in Italy but I really missed it.

So this year I tried to prepare as much as I could and also I did a new collection in collaboration with my sister cayenablanca http://www.cayenablanca.com/ , so I really hope to enjoy it as I always do.

A mix of 3d models and imagination

A few month ago, the director of my laboratory asked me if I could work with 3d programms, because he wanted to realize an idea. I said yes, after all the years in architecture I  have learned how to work very well with AutoCAD, and then on my first year here I learned to work also with rhinoceros and flamingo, two software similar to AutoCAD but more graphic and most important which they work with smaller measures, because it’s specific for jeweler and details. I love Rhino, it’s like bring a part of my architecture to jeweler, for me represent the joining point of my past and my future.

数か月前、私の研究所長が私に３Ｄプログラムを使って作業できるかと聞いてきました。
彼にはやってみたいことがあったのです。私は、すぐにはいと返事しました。
建築家としての数年間の間に私はAutoCADというソフトを使って作業することを十分に学びましたし、こちらにきて働き始めてから、rhinocerosとフラミンゴというAutoCADに良く類似しつつも、もっとグラフィックで もっと小さなサイズのものに適している２つのソフトを使うことも、学びました。
この二つは、ジュエリーや細かいことの作業にこちらの二つの方がずっと向いているのです。
特に、私はrhinocerosの方が、私の建築家としてのセンスをジュエルに生かすことができて、過去と未来を繋げてくれるようでとても好きです。

Ok, but talking about my director’s projects, he wanted to do a pneumatic ring, I remember  that he gave me a pneumatic from a toy truck and he told me “try to do it as real as possible”, with the toy in my hands I started to study the best and simpler way to do it, because he wanted to do it in wax and then in silver, so when you work with software’s that at same time works  in a real prototype you have to be very careful and be sure that all the surfaces are closed etc.  So after some changes we chose the one that we liked and we did it in wax and then in silver. I love the results, it came very clean and real.  Here I post 3 photos, one of the 3d prototype and other ones for the real ring.

では、私の所長の計画について話しましょう。
彼は、空気タイヤのリングを作りたかったのです。私は、おもちゃのトラックからとったタイヤを渡され、「出来るだけリアルに作ってみてね」と言い渡しました。手の中にあるタイヤのおもちゃで、私は
うまくいくように、そしてシンプルに出来るような方法を模索し始めました。所長は、まずは蝋でそれを作るように、そしてシルバーでもつくるようにしてみたかったのです。ソフトウェアで再現するのと、実際に作っていくのを同時進行で行うには、表面が同じように表れるように、など非常に気をつけなくてはなりません。何度かの変更を加えた後に、所長と私とが一致して気に入ったものを蝋で作り、まささらにシルバーで作ってみました。出来上がりは、とても綺麗で本物らしくてとても気に入りました。今日は３枚の写真を掲載させておきます。

My Story

Ani's Oreficeria born as a research of my creativity and as a parallel activity to architecture. It's been something that has let express me and that has brought me so many good times.

After graduating as an architect I decided to come to Italy to study jewelry design at the European Institute of Design and then decided to finish the race continuing my studies in the lab, so I enrolled at the Scuola Orafa Ambrosiana, a place where even today I still learning incredible things.
With the help of great friends that I’ve been knowing in these 3 years living here in Italy I decided to open this blog, to promote Ani's Oreficeria, posting photos, reviews, updates of events and so on.

Ani's Oreficeriaは、私の探し求めてきた創造性、そして建築家としての活動と並行して生まれたジュエリーブランドです。 このブランドを生み出したことで私自身の表現を可能にし、また沢山の幸せな時間を私自身にもたらすことが叶いました。
建築家として大学卒業後、イタリア・ミラノに来てジュエリーを学ぶことを決心しました。最初はEuropean Institute of Designで学び、そしてその後Scuola Orafa Ambrosianaの、研究室での勉強を続けながら毎日新しいことを吸収しています。イタリアに来てから３年、さまざまな友人との出会いがありました。今回その友人たちに助けられながら、このブログを作ることに決めました！

これからブログでは、Ani's Oreficeriaのことを写真やイベントのお知らせなどを綴りながら、皆様に知っていただきたいと思います。

I love Jewelry, and the facts that I’m an architect and a gold/silversmith, that I’m from Venezuela but has learned and loves Italian culture, makes the story of my life as a mix of experiences and wisdom that help me develop my pieces with a mix up of cultures, techniques and materials making them super original and continually changing, this will make me always create originals and unique pieces.
